DeepLX
Connect a DeepLX server, an unofficial way to reach DeepL's translation.
DeepLX is an open-source project, not made by DeepL, that offers DeepL translation through a simple API. You use it through a DeepLX server: a public one, a hosted one you pay for, or one you run yourself.
DeepLX is unofficial and can stop working at any time. For something dependable, use the DeepL API.
Add it
- On API Providers, click Add provider and choose DeepLX.
- Enter the server’s address in URL. It’s the full address of the translate endpoint, for example:
http://127.0.0.1:1188/translatefor a server on your own computer,https://api.deeplx.org/{{apiKey}}/translatefor a hosted service that puts your key in the address.
- If the address contains
{{apiKey}}, enter your key in API key; it takes that place in the address. - Click Test connection.
Good to know
- DeepLX can’t do translation-only mode. Use bilingual mode, or another provider for translation only.
- Public servers are often slow or rate-limited. If translations fail, lower Requests per second under Translation queue.
