Input translation
Write in your own language in any text box and turn it into the other language before you send it.
How to use it
Type in any text box, such as a search field, a chat or a comment form. Then press the space bar three times quickly. What you wrote is replaced by its translation.
Press it three times again to translate back, if Swap direction each time is on.
Settings
In Input Translation in the settings:
- Enable: turn the trigger on or off.
- Trigger threshold: how far apart, in milliseconds, the three presses may be. Raise it if the trigger keeps missing; lower it if it fires while you’re still typing.
- Language pair: what your text is read as, and what it’s translated into. Either side can follow the source and target languages you use for pages.
- Swap direction each time: every trigger swaps the two languages, so you can check a translation by turning it back.
Input translation has its own provider under API Providers → Feature providers.
